freemasonry at Cheshire View

Cheshire View is proud to be home to many Lodges and Chapters of Cheshire Freemasonry and we are always delighted to have new members.

Freemasonry is an ancient society, going back centuries. It is a society in which men come together to socialise with like-minded people and to help and support each other.

Freemasonry instils in its members a moral and ethical approach to life with values based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Members are urged to regard the interests of the family as paramount but, importantly, Freemasonry also teaches concern for people, care for the less fortunate and help for those in need. It is distinctly a non-political society and not linked to any particular religious denomination.

Worldwide, Freemasonry raises billions of pounds for charity and is constantly involved in charitable work, both on a global and a very local level. In contrast to many an urban myth about masonry, this is not through the actions of one or two millionaires, but, instead, through the actions of millions of everyday citizens donating just a few pounds or a few hours each.
